Then continue to Lake Havasu City in Arizona to visit the world-famous London Bridge, originally built in London and later relocated here, now gracefully spanning the sparkling waters of Lake Havasu. In the evening, arrive at Williams, a historic town on the iconic Route 66, also known as the “Gateway to the Grand Canyon.” Overnight stay in Williams, where you’ll feel the authentic charm of a western small town.

Williams is a city in Coconino County, Arizona, west of Flagstaff. It lies on the route of Historic Route 66, Interstate 40, and the Southwest Chief Amtrak train route. It is also the southern terminus of the Grand Canyon Railway, which takes visitors to Grand Canyon Village. There are numerous inns, motels, restaurants and gas stations that cater to the large influx of tourists rather than local residents, especially during the summer and holiday seasons.

Barstow serves as a civilized stop-over for off-road enthusiasts and desert adventurers and offers access to a very modest clutch of cultural sights. Find out and about a museum or two, including one with Route 66 as its focus, filming locations like Bagdad Cafe and quaint Calico Ghost Town.

Lake Havasu City is a city in Mohave County, Arizona, United States. London Bridge crosses a narrow channel that leads from Lake Havasu to Thompson Bay, which has become the second-largest tourist attraction in Arizona after the Grand Canyon. "Day of the Wolves" is a 1971 heist film starring Richard Egan, which was the first movie to be made on location in the new town of Lake Havasu City, Arizona.

  • There's no misnomer here-- this bridge is originally from London. In 1831, this bridge was a passageway over the River Thames in London, England. A unique and strange journey led it across the ocean and into central Arizona.
